Committee on
Worship, Music & the Arts

Our new Rodgers® Trillium 967 Organ

“Since the time of Martin Luther, the Lutheran Church has been known as ‘the singing church.’ Our worship and celebrations have been enriched by a priceless collection of liturgies, choral works, and hymns through which we express our faith.”

It is from this rich tradition that Grace Lutheran Church draws strength and pursues its vision of the use of all types of music to enhance our worship experience. Musical styles include gospel choir anthems, classical organ, dixieland and big band, American and international folk, and small instrumental ensembles.

During the course of the year we plan and coordinate various events such as the annual Mardi Gras and Advent events, as well as our ever-popular Readers’ Theater and Youth Recital events. We also support special appearances by groups from outside the Grace family, including traveling college choirs, professional instrumental groups and vocal soloists.

From the By-Laws:

This committee shall be aware of the parameters of worship that stands within the Lutheran tradition and meets the needs of our diverse body of worshipers and shall proclaim the Gospel through worship, music and the arts; and shall care for and maintain all space and equipment used in worship.

Meeting Schedule:

Monthly, first Monday, 7:00 p.m.
