From the By-Laws:

The Special Gifts and Memorials Committee (a sub-committee of the Stewardship Committee) shall provide for the acknowledgement of, and accounting for, all special gifts and memorials. Such monies as are received shall be collected and disbursed through the Church Treasurer.
